The Grandkids are 9 and 12 now with lots of time before they have to start supporting themselves somehow. I did some research to see what kinds of jobs I could get that paid the most with the least amount of additional training and became a computer programmer. At the time we were substantially poor.

From my Mother-in-laws perspective, the number one benefit to the great-grandkids of sending her a thank you note, is that she would continue to send them gifts. It makes sense, if you are grateful, you are less likely to be stressed out about your situation. Stress can do bad things to your health. Gratitude can make you wealthier.

My grandkids were 6 and 3 and they really got into this! While you wait for the movie to start – talk about how a movie is made, costs involved in doing so, the roles involved (producers, directors, actors, camera men, scene builders, computer techs and etc). We used real coins and Monopoly bills and their toys as store merchandise.
