I think that I heard about Kristen’s blog through Katy, the Non-Consumer Advocate. I can remember quite a few years in college and grad school when my part-time jobs juuuuust barely covered my expenses (and sometimes not even that!) I don’t know how I heard about Katy’s blog first!

Making, photographing, uploading, packaging, shipping…it’s very time consuming. I’d love to find something like a part time admin. Which is good. My husband works as an architect and I teach art part time at my son’s school. We are very happy without all of the things that are being sold to us by our consumer culture. We have a 5 year old son and are in the process of adopting our 2 year old and 4 month old foster sons, making us parents of 3 boys! Don’t buy in to this.

I’ve been teaching part time for over 25 years. I like to bake and read, and I spend time chauffeuring kids to activities and games. I volunteer at my kids’ school at lunch time and other events. My home would easily be 5-6 times more expensive on the East Coast. Here’s MB: 1.
