In January, I only ventured into Target because our daughters wanted to go and spend some of their Christmas gift money. At the beginning of the month, we were in the market for a bedroom dresser because my youngest daughter’s dresser fell apart over the holidays. Daughter and mommy were both thrilled.

Our youngest daughter’s dresser practically disintegrated into pieces over the holiday break. That’s motivation to take some time to scour Craigslist and some local second hand furniture stores this week. This challenge already has me thinking differently. One of the frames was perfect for what I needed.

On Sundays, we’ll meet here to catch our breath, and let everyone know how we’re finding our $1000. I could have tried to sell the unbroken pieces online, on eBay or Craigslist, but this was definitely instant gratification. In the month of October, my challenge will be to find $1000.
