Pack a picnic, go to a free event, and BYOB whenever possible. EVERY time that I do this, I come out ahead. Check your hobbies. Hobbies are fun, but they can be very expensive.

Check your paper or local events board to see if any kid’s clothing swaps are happening in your area. Check your local paper or Craigslist for sales in your area advertising children’s clothing. Ask if you can purchase it at a discount, or perhaps they would even be willing just to pass it on to you. It never hurts to ask!
