Many years ago, I got a little wooden chest from freecycle. The freecycle chest is pretty small. I painted it white, and I put it in Zoe’s room, and then Lisey’s, and then when I moved here, I brought it along and kept it in Lisey’s room. Look at the foot of the bed and you’ll see it.

Never try to use non-canning jars to preserve your food – doing so could lead to dangerous (invisible) bacteria growing in your food. Canners are readily available for sale at a great discount through online sellers at eBay and Craigslist. Proper canning jars are made so that the lids fully seal.

Selling on eBay, Amazon or Craigslist. Yard sales are great, especially if you have a lot of stuff that you just want to get rid of, but if you have fewer yet more expensive items – electronics, furniture, etc – than selling through an online marketplace like eBay, Amazon or Craigslist may be a better option.
