At the beginning of the month, we were in the market for a bedroom dresser because my youngest daughter’s dresser fell apart over the holidays. After shopping locally at some furniture stores, I resorted to Craigslist and spent hundreds less on a new-to-her dresser. Daughter and mommy were both thrilled.

Our youngest daughter’s dresser practically disintegrated into pieces over the holiday break. That’s motivation to take some time to scour Craigslist and some local second hand furniture stores this week. For one-time special occasions, ask friends if you can borrow instead of buying new.
