Credit card rewards programs are no different. The rewards encourage you to charge things on their card. Many people today seem to prefer paying by credit card. To me, credit card reward programs are very similar to coupon clipping. We prefer not to use credit. Here is why.

Coming home, the flight from Florida to Philadelphia was delayed causing us to miss the only flight from Philly to Harrisburg for the day. We have already used one of the credits for my daughter’s flight to the Midwest later this summer.
