My mother left the hand-written gift tag on the ornament all those years ago. Such as our "First Christmas Together" ornament given by a great aunt as a wedding gift.

My great grandmother (my grandfather’s mother on my dad’s side) made the cardigan for my Grandmama when she was a young bride. It is crocheted and not knitted and was entered into the Texas State Fair competition. I don’t remember the story exactly, but I believe it was awarded a ribbon and then disqualified for being crochet.
