I stopped by my two favorite thrift stores last week: Salvation Army & Community Aid, a local store. I only go on Wednesdays, because both stores offer an additional 50% off on almost everything. Finally, spring has arrived in central PA, so I carved out some time last Wednesday to hit the thrift stores.

I have two daughters and one benefit of having same sex siblings is that my youngest is the beneficiary of a mighty fine wardrobe, season after season. Our sweet Ruby has assimilated into our family quite well. Ruby isn’t a big fan of the new collar, but she LOVES her walks more, so it’s staying! The girls and I hit my favorite thrift store this week. And my oldest daughter got her first pair of Converse sneakers. She’s such an easy dog.

Some people keep their recipes on the computer, but I prefer my binder with its well-used, splattered pages. I had to chuckle when I saw my training calendar from 2004, the year before our first daughter was born. But I have seen a variety of binders at yard sales and thrift stores for pocket change.
