It is now officially 5 days until Christmas and I have bought just 3 presents. That’s one each for my daughter, my son-in-law and my grandson. They start shopping early and are done by Thanksgiving. And this year, well, if the presents are wrapped at all, I’ll be very surprised! You know the ones.

Unfortunately, my present desk setup is directly opposite that. I’ve already bought a present for each person in the immediate family, not huge things, but something that I hope they will like and enjoy. Last year I made some beautiful Christmas cookies with my daughter, this year we are going to get my grandson involved.

I love the lights and the shopping and the glitter and the bells and the presents and the music and the food…well just about everything about it. And every year, the day AFTER Thanksgiving, I start putting up decorations. I have ornaments that I made, that my daughter made and that my grandson helped to make.
