Happy New Year’s 2019: In January 2019, we were down to one final non-mortgage loan, so we created just one financial goal for the year—-to pay off that last non-mortgage debt by December. Dave Ramsey suggests to have a starter emergency fund of $1000 while focusing on paying off non-mortgage debt.

It will be quite a feat because by my calculations we’ll be short each month if we just apply our debt snowball payment. We need to find/earn even more money each month to throw at the debt to make our goal by December 31, 2016. Paying off debt is not fun, in fact, it sucks!
