As well as other “from scratch” things like my current main hobby of teaching myself how to spin yarn from our sheeps’ wool. I ‘ve been reading The Frugal Girl for 4+ years now, definitely pre-pandemic but I’m not sure how much before. I do a lot of our cooking from scratch which takes a lot of my time!

We have several things that we want to start saving for, such as a car replacement fund, some home repairs/updates, a new camper, and travel. Growing up in a large family, we had enough, but with the specter of inflation and bad job market (gotta love the 70’s and 80’s) , there was definitely a feeling of needing to make sure you had a cushion. I should have known he was special as he asked for a set of “Time-Life” home repair books when he was in college.
