As an experiment, I switched to cash in 3 categories : groceries, dining out and clothing on January 1st. I have now decided to add gift giving to the list of cash categories. I then divided that new number by 12 and that is the dollar amount that I am going to transfer to a savings account every month.

This is the first year I started a Disney/vacation savings account of $25 a week. Here we go… Disney Trip 2012 – Total Savings Goal = $2555.35. 5-Night Package with Dining = $1585.35. Plus Dining Plan” for 2 adults x 5 nights. It saves us a ton of money both while we travel and at Disney.
