Also to top it off, I had a huge property tax due that month for our office building that was going to be difficult to pay for in light of the circumstances. We just spent all these years paying off so much debt why would I even entertain taking out a loan, even if I thought we could pay it off quickly.

We, as a country, owe our young people a more comprehensive education. The banking experience helped, and I educated myself on investing as a young adult. Alan and I, by choice, bought land in an area with low property taxes. We don’t have to spend a lot for entertainment. That’s not right.
