We have significant food restrictions so sourcing our own is helpful health-wise & cost-effective too. When college was looming, my parents offered to let me live at home cost-free while I was in college, as their contribution to my higher education. Sports/extracurriculars were funded by Mom cleaning houses/church.

It has been amazing for our finances and my mental health. Sewing holes in clothes, using up leftovers before they go bad, finding free activities for my little on the weekends, checking buy nothing or marketplace before purchasing- I am always just looking for ways to spend money. Thank you for the recommendation.

We’ve found free or low-cost ways for her to try a career before investing a lot of money in education. We also encourage them to explore a lot of options.
