Christmas was a one week event – between Dec 25 and Jan. Gasoline stations did not serve food, have coffee or provide bath rooms. You researched in the library and wrote to the state’s to get information to plan a trip. You had to ask to be excused from the dinner table. 1; not a month long marathon. Entertainment.
