That way, I can hit a lot of sales in just a few hours instead of spending time and gasoline driving around town. If you want to buy kids toys or clothes, look for new home neighborhoods with lots of pre-school or grade school aged kids. It will be an extra gift for my grandson’s family next Christmas.

People opened their windows and used attic fans or sat in metal lawn chairs outside to cool off. Hair cuts were done at home by a family member. Cheap (not just inexpensive, I mean cheap – easy to break) toys came from post-war Japan. Gasoline stations did not serve food, have coffee or provide bath rooms.
