Recycling is great for the environment and we should all be doing it (in spite of my title), but reusing is even better. When you can reuse or re-purpose an item, you are not only saving it from the landfills, but you are also saving the expense and energy which would have been expended when you recycle. Coffee can.

It can take a great deal of time to cook for a family every day, and in many houses the kitchen is a place to socialize, to work on homework, to eat, etc. Paper plates are another popular culprit in some families. Because they can be washed and reused they are much cheaper in the long run. A Little Lighting… Goes a long way.

I’m always looking for ways to save my family money to help us get through current higher food and gas prices and achieve our big financial goals. There’s a better chance the healthy food will get eaten if it’s prepped, and it saves time on weekday mornings. I like to reuse them for lunches/snacks.

I thought about reusing REDUCE, but it’s a new year, so I need a new word. I want to INCREASE our savings and net worth. Let’s do this!

My family and I just recently moved to Tucson, Arizona. Then we can reuse the water to water our garden. Reuse gray water. With 5 of us in the family, taking showers this way saves hundreds of gallons of water every month. In fact, Tucson averages just 11.3 inches of rain a year. inches a year.).
