When you travel internationally, you are often confined to a certain weight limit for bags, which is much less than those for domestic flights.

If you’re open to flying or driving, compare the cost of flights to the estimated cost of gas. If you’re flying, you’ll want to book flights as early as possible. As flights are booked, and seats become more in demand, the prices will increase. This can be a considerable expense, bringing me to my next point.

My kids are able to bike to school and activities – my son even bikes to the airport where he takes flight lessons. If something happened to my car tomorrow, I wouldn’t need to buy a new one immediately – I can run almost all of my errands on a bike, even in the winter.
