I yard sale and thrift all year long for my booth. Why am I not thrifting gifts for my friends and family too.

Years ago, Mom introduced me to the idea of going to garage sales. If you are in more of a hurry, find a thrift store instead. But, find one in a high end neighborhood, one where the store sorts through the donations to select only the best. It will be an extra gift for my grandson’s family next Christmas.

They collect rocks, flowers, twigs and anything else they can catch or commandeer. Lists for Santa Claus, or for birthday gifts start them out and soon they are eyeing and selecting from the wonderful bounty at the stores. We leave the nest – move out of Mom and Dad’s well stocked home. You get stuff.
