In our experience, Marriot offers the best military discount, so we try to stay at hotels within that brand. I’m passionate about food waste, and dinner portions are too much, bringing me to my next point.

We have a lot of free parks and nature reserves for hiking, and a wonderful library system that does free Inter Library Loans as well as lots of e-books. Also, we’re by a military base, so it’s a little easier to find houses to rent if you know when people will be PCSing out and needing to rent out their homes.

” Sunrise on Lake Michigan I’ve moved a LOT – not as much as a military family, perhaps, but quite a bit for someone my age! Brian and me at the Sears Tower Having our first child just one month after our first wedding anniversary was NOT in the plan, but so far it’s worked out well!
