WIS, WWA | Well, now I know

The Frugal Girl

pre-frying, obviously I purposely didn’t fry all of the chicken, with the plan to save some for frying the next night. It’s not that hard to fresh-fry some chicken the next day, and fresh-fried is always better than reheated! Sunday I made some panko-breaded fried chicken strips, which we ate with some fruit.

WIS, WWA | $149 and I’m not pressed

The Frugal Girl

Wednesday Leftover chicken katsu, freshly fried, because I employed the trick of breading all the chicken but not frying all of it the first night. Then the next night, I can just fry up the remaining chicken and it is crispy and delightful. I think Sonia and I got it all figured out, though.

WIS, WWA | largely from the freezer

The Frugal Girl

Thursday I found two chicken thighs in the freezer, so I salted them for a few hours, pan-sauteed them, and sliced them on top of a green salad with various veggies. I also found a partial bag of sweet potato fries in the freezer so I threw those in the air fryer for us to eat with our salads. What did you have for dinner this week?

I saved my frying oil for greasing my grill I like to brush my grill grates with oil before I cook, but I always prefer to use old oil for that purpose, and I keep a container in the freezer for that purpose.
