My dad was a blue-collar worker – a machine operator on the railroad who sometimes got laid off for periods of time in the winter. My mom cut coupons and sewed her own clothes and mine, as well. I enjoy playing the game and I like to win. What’s your best frugal win? Alan doesn’t share that regret.

We bought a cheap old trampoline and enclosed the bottom with chicken wire as their run It has been a learning curve to take care of this much land, as well as the chickens and cows we’ve since added. In my free time I enjoy canning and preserving food (well, I enjoy the results of it, ha!),

For 20 or so years I’ve been homeschooling my kids, and am now down to about 1 1/2 (one full-time homeschooler, and one doing College Credit Plus with some support). What’s your best frugal win? Best frugal win: I guess two, one is learning to cut hair, as I’ve mentioned before in my comments here.

My husband is an extremely hard worker as he works and goes to school full time. He has paid a price to win with hard work and sacrifice to reach his goals, and I truly admire him for that. As well as me starting up my education full time and completing that. Do exactly as he says, and you’ll win.
