Years ago, Mom introduced me to the idea of going to garage sales. People sell the darnedest things at their garage sales. Garage sales take time, you have to hit quite a few before you find the item you want or need. I look for the neighborhood sales, which are usually either in spring or fall.

Have you a well loved chair that needs a bit of TLC? Maybe it is just something you found at a sale that doesn’t quite match your decor. Well, maybe so but then again, you might want to think twice about it. I own a condo at a local lake that came furnished. Two heavy wing back recliners were among the furnishings.
