At least one of the kids had a great show and tell out of the process while he was in kindergarten. Now that I think back, that probably provided the neighbors with quite a bit of entertainment as well. He did win several things, the largest being a bike (medium priced, nothing fancy) which we gave to our youngest kid.

Now I’m living on the small acreage that I was raised on (which is now smack dab in the middle of town & 2 miles from work) with my mom & my two kids, 15 & 8. We teamwork together to homeschool-I was homeschooled until nursing school, and I am privileged to be teaching my kids & have my mom assist on the days I work.

Peggy: Well, probably some of the same ones being espoused now (maybe our kids did pick up on some of our examples!). We shopped at garage sales, turned down the heat, combined errands to use less gas, didn’t buy a lot of prepared food, cooked at home and the like. Peggy: Well, we did everything ourselves.
