We do put up decorations (ones I buy at garage sales or thrift stores and reuse each year). Search the attic, the backs of the closets, the garage and see what inspiration presents. Dad’s old cowboy hat and a rope from the garage can be the start of a cowboy get up. Tip # 2 Recycle/reuse costumes.

Use those as well. Shop garage sales and thrift stores and estate sales. Christmas decorations, wrap, bows and ribbon all are continuous offerings at pretty much every garage sale, thrift store or estate sale I’ve ever shopped. If you have old maps you no longer need, use them.

Just bare twigs in a large vase, with old ornaments tied to them can be pretty as well. We live on the edge of the prairie and prairie grasses grow well here. They kind of look like the ones for sale at Curious Country Creations. Plan ahead and hit garage sales, but especially estate sales.
