We do put up decorations (ones I buy at garage sales or thrift stores and reuse each year). Tip # 2 Recycle/reuse costumes. Like me, buy them used and then reuse them each year. Put your unwanted Halloween decorations out for reuse by donating them. This idea serves well for the younger crew.

Just bare twigs in a large vase, with old ornaments tied to them can be pretty as well. We live on the edge of the prairie and prairie grasses grow well here. They kind of look like the ones for sale at Curious Country Creations. Plan ahead and hit garage sales, but especially estate sales.

In spite of the expense, some of the newer furniture is much less well made than older pieces. Garage sale and thrift store furniture bargains abound.
