Wait, Don’t Buy That Yet!

Sure I knew about the ‘White sales’ – the ones stores used to have in January on sheets and towels and such, but I really hadn’t a clue that there is a best time to buy many other things! However, I wait until spring and summer to buy decorations – and get them at garage sales. Winter clothes. Brand name TVs.

I have started calling around for fees and hope to have this complete by end of January. Choose Thrift First. While I love thrift stores, I can be easily swayed to run into Target, TJ Maxx, and/or Kohl’s when I feel like I need something. I want to focus on being content with what I have and I’m pretty sure I’ll survive.

I have made a pact with myself that if I don’t already own something that I need, I will either: make do with what I have, find said item at a thrift store, borrow, or forget about it. And if forgetting about it isn’t an option, only then will I step foot into a store to purchase it.
