There weren’t any McDonald’s but there were Steak and Shake and White Castle’s here and there. Most food at the grocery store came from the USA. Gasoline stations did not serve food, have coffee or provide bath rooms. Food/shopping. People cooked and ate at home. Lots of people had back yard gardens.
