Recycling is great for the environment and we should all be doing it (in spite of my title), but reusing is even better. When you can reuse or re-purpose an item, you are not only saving it from the landfills, but you are also saving the expense and energy which would have been expended when you recycle. Today, I am going to share with you 8 ways you can recycle, reduce, and reuse. Reuse what you can. We also save containers from items and reuse them for storage at a later time. Reuse scrap paper and envelopes. Save and reuse ribbons, tissue paper, gift boxes amd even wrapping paper. Buy in bulk or in loose.

Teaching The Gift of Giving This year the grand kids are 5 and 8 years old and I want to demonstrate the pleasures of giving. Moms always love anything their kids give them! Petroleum jelly to slather on the inside of the mold, so you can get the concrete out and reuse the mold. Pretty things to embed in the wet cement.

It’s been around forever in one form another, whether back when your grandmother reused glass bottles for canning or in 2014 when a truck comes around to pick up all those empty soda cans you put out at the end of your driveway. which refurbishes your phone for reuse or removes the parts and uses them for other phones. Ah, recycling.
