You get to enjoy all the cute moments and hand back the kid when they stink or act out! We spoiled our children and we apparently are even more intent on doing so with our grandchildren! My parents were somewhat more interactive with their grandchildren (my kids). Why are we spending more on our grandchildren?

Well, we made it and here are some of the surprising things I found out about having a few millions. I used to worry about what would happen to my kids if my spouse decided to move on. I am not to that point yet, but many very wealthy families worry about the safety and security of their members. You can’t have it all.

Your kids have been to camp, done baseball and goofed off to their hearts content. Each year I try to help my kids teach their kids about personal finance. We have a week long Grandma Money Camp during which we have activities, games, books, movies and lessons about things related to personal finance.

It has served me well over the years, eventually leading to my current position of financial freedom. My grown kids are also savers and I have high hopes that the grandchildren will follow their example. To learn to live within your means is one of our primary family money values. I’m a saver, always have been.
