I wanted a place for our family to gather – adult children and grandchildren along with us. That gave me the idea to start looking around for one too. Extended family members expect free days.

I saw that you don’t exchange Christmas gifts with nieces and nephews on your side. What did Christmas and birthday gifts for nieces and nephews look like when they were young? In families with just a few cousins/grandchildren, I can see it working out, but not with 17 cousins/grandchildren.
