Well, we made it and here are some of the surprising things I found out about having a few millions. Most days I try to do some preparation with my sons, daughter-in-laws and grandchildren – to help them learn financial concepts and acquire the ability to wisely manage their money. You still want to do your best at work.

You would think that after some period of time a cold/cough/sore throat/bronchitis/whatever (allergies are in there as well) would just give up and go away. Both my grandchildren have the most disgusting mucous laced coughs I have ever heard coming out of tiny little bodies. That is not happening with me.

Naturally, my spouse and I had a discussion on how much we wanted to fund for our two sons and their families. I found pleasure in thinking about giving our children and grandchildren the opportunity to see part of the world they might not otherwise see. One son is trying to rebuild finances after an expensive year.

It felt like an important position and I found I had talents that extended to managing people and projects as well. Sons followed in the footsteps of their father’s, even to the extreme of becoming known by name of the family occupation (Smith – for blacksmith, Taylor for clothing maker, etc).

My son & I currently share a plan and I know that there has to be a comparable plan that would be less expensive than AT&T. In families with just a few cousins/grandchildren, I can see it working out, but not with 17 cousins/grandchildren. Could you please tell me again what company you use.

You may know that each year, for my two Grandchildren, I hold a camp I call Grandma Rie’s Money Camp. I’ve already gotten my son’s ok to get that started. We may decide to offer a line of holiday door decor as well – if I can find some that are easy enough to make, yet beautiful enough to keep and purchase.
