We use the eggs, harvest meat & if I can’t get out to hunt venison we’ve had friends give us meat. I also hunted & scrounged for scholarships like a bloodhound. Especially right now in negative temps-breaking ice, hauling water & firewood, and defending the birds from a marauding fox.

So, I went to eBay (always my second stop when I’m hunting for a book) and found a copy for just a few dollars. Sadly, my library did not buy this one. I spent my teen years doing most of the cooking for my family of six, and I spent most of my adult years cooking for my own family of six.
