Another cost to factor into flying is whether or not you’ll need a rental car when you arrive at your destination. Having our own car means we don’t have to rent one and we can bring a LOT from home. Never get insurance through the rental car company if you rent a car.

I’ve spent the past couple of day on the phone with the other drivers insurance, trying to get them to take responsibility. They finally agreed to yesterday afternoon, and I am picking up a rental car today at lunch and then someone is coming by the house Friday AM to assess the damage and hopefully cut us a check so we can get it repaired.
