While I am not that thrifty, and I love prettily wrapped gifts, I don’t like to spend a bunch on wrappings. Use those as well. Do you have some leftover wall paper you won’t be using? She would very carefully (and slowly) unwrap her gifts so as to be able to preserve the paper. Use paper drop cloth to wrap.

We want to live WELL on LESS Money. This new routine only costs me $3 for the pick-up and I’m finding it’s well worth it. Five dollars divided by 180 times = 3 cents per dishwasher use AND I have a lot leftover in the box. Thrifty Finds in February: I try to hit up my favorite thrift store at least once a month.

Plan uses for your leftovers. A good deal on a big bag of fresh lettuce isn’t thrifty if you can’t use it up before it rots. If you maintain it by changing the oil, rotating the tires and keeping it clean you are well on your way to having a serviceable car for years. Use up your food.

I also occasionally get to encourage young entrepreneurs by purchasing their wares (usually soda or lemonade but sometimes more ambitions products as well). I let them sit in the sun for several days as well to let the sun disinfect them. 50 each (and cleaned and disinfected as well) on them. Glass leftover containers 3 for $.75.
