There were no day care centers – women stayed home and raised the kids. Working from home usually meant selling stuff door to door. Toni home perms were prevalent. Hair cuts were done at home by a family member. There were no cell phones. The cold war colored our life. Conveniences.

A phone for each person in the house. Yes, there were phones. Smart phones. I used to classify cell phones as a want as well, but with the disappearance of pay public phones, I am changing my mind. Smart phones are still a want to me. Home offices. Now I think I need my central air! Two car garages.
