Way back in 2008 I signed up for a Upromise account and then it sat unused for many years. I don’t recall why I never used the account, but I guess it just slipped my mind. Right before the pandemic started, I opened 529 College Savings Accounts for our daughters. Hello, 2020. 108 Months X $72 = $7,776!

2 – We opened up high-interest savings accounts and earned $250 in interest. We are in what I call our “shovel season of life” Our oldest daughter leaves for college in the fall of 2024 and we have a big savings goal to hit before then. The money hit our account in April. Ask and ye shall receive!

March was pretty good to me…I was able to add $307.55 Starting January 2012, we set up an automatic withdraw to a new “vacation savings account” of $25 a week. Having the ”vacation savings account” is like a back-up plan so we don’t feel strapped while we’re there.

March was very good to me…I added $557.10 I buy the gift card I want through QuickRewards , get paid for doing that, use that same gift card to shop online through QR, and get paid for that too. I collect the gift cards and use them to order essentials for our trips. 52-Week Money Saving Challenge = $55.00.

Where I found EXTRA Money in May 2021

I have used the extra money to pay off debt, fund family trips, or build up our Christmas savings. I calculate the per-hour rate from my plasma donations to make sure it’s a good use of my time. This money was put into my Christmas Savings account. March 2021 – I found $747. Progresso Refund: $3.50.

Save $10k in a savings account, specifically earmarked for medical expenses. In March of 2018, we had our wills, medical directives, and powers of attorney completed by an attorney. I have yet to write a Medi-Share recap for 2018, but our goal was to replenish the healthcare savings account that we depleted in 2017.
