My aunt gifts her nieces and nephews with loaves of homemade cinnamon bread every Christmas. Fortunately, my parents live nearby and my mom doesn’t charge us (whew–thanks, mom), but we have close friends who don’t have family nearby and would LOVE a gift of free babysitting. Baked Goods. I saw that you don’t exchange Christmas gifts with nieces and nephews on your side. What did Christmas and birthday gifts for nieces and nephews look like when they were young? This mainly comes from ridiculous expectations that I feel like I need to meet because of the way my mom did Christmas.

My little nephew Jace, age 2, was willing to be our photo subject. We chose our three photo sheets, (1) 10×13 for Mom & Dad, 4×6 for Aunties, and (1) 8×10 for Grandmom & Grandpop, our photographer had our photos ready to go in minutes. Jace and Mom were both happy. All opinions are 100% mine.
