We spent half the day at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, which is amazing if you love movies. A piece that that speaks of the racial disparities during the Civil Rights era, by using denim, wood, and firehose. I included another piece of artwork in my last post.

Yes, I spelled it Arte, because we're going to Arte Museum, one of the newest immersive attractions in Las Vegas. At Hopscotch, the exhibits are very light focused and at Arte Museum, it is very nature focused. Almost everything is projected and they use mirrors to make rooms look bigger or neverending, which is really cool.

We used to do this a lot when I was a kid, because we didn't have money for a full-on vacation, but we had money to go out for the day and drive somewhere new. My goal right now is to go to our Japanese American Museum, but I also haven't been to the Portland Art Museum in a long time, so I hope to get to both of those at some point.

Interactive museums - I love a normal museum, but I think the creativity of museums that are interactive and more than just looking at art on a wall or things in a case are next level. I've been doing more lately, but some of my favorites have been Hopscotch Portland , Arte Museum and Omega Mart in Las Vegas.
