They provided Christmas and birthday toys and on occasion provided direct financial aid. I’ve seen the nieces and my own kids ask for and get babysitting services time after time from a busy working boomer. My parents were somewhat more interactive with their grandchildren (my kids). Why are we boomers more involved?

Since my niece was born the calendars all revolve around baby M! I added in special holidays and birthdays, occasions so they won’t forget and loved being able to add captions to each picture! I snagged a sweet KidKraft Wooden Play Kitchen for my niece for $28! :: Get There Early. Occasionally you will find holiday and seasonal sales with items 90% off but these are typically at Christmas and other very rare occasions. Nothing is a good deal if it breaks easily or won’t get played with. Every store is different.
