In spite of the expense, some of the newer furniture is much less well made than older pieces. Garage sale and thrift store furniture bargains abound. I used several boxes of baking soda to help sanitize and deodorize them as well. There another product called Krammer’s Best Antique Improver that also works well.

Clothing Bags If you donate clothing to your local thrift stores , then these bags can help you out. Many times, people use trash bags to transport used clothing, but grocery bags will work as well. Recycle If none of these circumstances apply to you, you can always recycle your grocery bags.

Anything you now longer want that is still wearable and in reasonable condition can be donated to thrift stores. You probably will find clothes that you had forgotten you even had; I certainly did!

We do put up decorations (ones I buy at garage sales or thrift stores and reuse each year). Tip # 2 Recycle/reuse costumes. This idea serves well for the younger crew. What do you do to recycle/reuse on Halloween? No kids = no money on candy = no candy wrappers in the landfill. Free Kids Crafts has some ideas.
