I get asked all of the time about where I go thrifting in Berea KY. I thought I would share with you some of my favorite spots to thrift. Thrifting in Berea KY Number one on my list is Chestnut St. The reason I chose this location to have my booth is because it is clean, and the booths are well organized. Mini Mall.

As well as other “from scratch” things like my current main hobby of teaching myself how to spin yarn from our sheeps’ wool. My son with one of our baby goats I remember for many years looking at any recipe that asked for more than one kind of cheese and rejecting it right away. There was no way I could afford that!

As long as we buy them from an authorized source, we can get a guarantee as well. We bought a lot of our son’s onesies and other items (including a crib) at a consignment shop. We were able to get a great deal on older couches that were very well-built. We’ve bought used video games as well. Baby Items.

My favorite thrift store has a section dedicated to seasonal items. The number and variety of Halloween items in this thrift store surprised me. How this holiday has changed since I was a child in the 1950’s, and even since I raised my own sons in the 1970’s/80’s!

I had three baby showers when I was pregnant for my son–one from each side of the family and one from my co-workers. The article specifies that Garlick did not buy any birthday or Christmas presents for her children, but I’m sure that they got items from well-meaning relatives. Go Frugal Go Green'

Know what you want to do and plan it out well ahead of time. Thrift shops. My son had a tile cutter which he loaned to me. I found wood frames for my national park posters and a wildlife themed shower curtain at the local thrift stores. Here are a few tips on saving money while doing renovations. Plan ahead. Craigs list.
