We individual investors have all become market skittish since the recent huge recession and economic downturn. Unfortunately, to move them, I had to cash some the investments out in the 401K, leaving me with quite a few funds to get back into the market. It’s hard for me, emotionally to avoid trying to time the market.

Hubby retired in July 2007. Then the Great Recession hit so I postponed for a few years. In 2010, my company was just preparing to do their first round of recession related layoffs. However, I haven’t learned this lesson too well, as I still have the second plan, which is a 401K. I’m retired!
