We bought our house as a short sale in 2008. I’d send some to my nieces to help with their college expenses and would donate half to our local food pantry. I think I could have gotten discouraged in my 20’s when I was chipping away at student loan debt and a car loan and in my 30’s when I had two kids in day care.
