Should You Invest In A Rising Market?

We individual investors have all become market skittish since the recent huge recession and economic downturn. Is the economy really recovering or will our jobs (assuming we have one) once again disappear? I retired in 2010 (yeah!). In 2010 and 2011 I did get a lot of it re-invested, even though it was rising the whole time.
