I’ve been an architect, day-care teacher to toddlers, and library clerk, but am currently a SAHM to a 14yo son and 9yo daughter. I started reading The Frugal Girl back in 2010 when Kristen’s kids were still itty bitty. I’m 47, married, and living amongst the cornfields in a college town in the Midwest U.S. Enjoying some outdoor time.

Alternatives to College

I graduated from State U with a liberal arts degree in the early 1970s – when there was a world wide recession followed by stagflation. But, at least I graduated without debt. I’m not sure that my two daughters-in-law would agree that you can get to the status of working as an RN without a 4 year degree (BSN) in nursing.
