Good shoes are essential for me, as I have accessory navicular syndrome and like to be active. I have a rule now that if I want to buy a book, I need to donate one. I consoled myself with the thought that I rarely buy paper towels and use cloth napkins, so it all balances out. Splurges: Shoes, books and art supplies.
