Back when I was engaged and living on my own for the first time (I lived with my parents while in grad school to save on rent), I went to the library a lot and found a copy of the Tightwad Gazette. Splurges: Shoes, books and art supplies. And art supplies: I like to paint and draw, so every now and then I splash out.
