For simple issues, a bleach and water mixture will do the trick. Spray foam filling (bought in a can at home improvement stores) is the easiest, most cost-efficient option. Inspect all water lines at least monthly—in the refrigerator, faucet, disposal/dishwasher connections, etc. Check for mold/mildew. Defrost the freezer.
